When God says, GO! Trip #1
Our 1st trip was to Tallahassee, FL. We purchased 250 yards of Christmas fabric that will lovingly be sewn by Nancy into about 500 Christmas stockings. Nancy sews anywhere from 300-600 Christmas stockings every year. These stocking are filled by missionaries Albert and Marie Skinner who then send them out to various mission fields on Native American Reservations. The filled Christmas stockings are given to Native American Children who attend a Christmas party where they hear the Gospel message. The children will also be given an opportunity to give their life to Jesus Christ. We hear salvation stories every year from these outreaches. While in the area we stopped several places where we were able to pick up supplies needed for other missions projects and missionaries. We enjoyed the opportunity to pray for Nancy and pray with her for a friend that she helps. While personally I can sew, I just don't have the patience for it... However, I am very much enjoying the sewing God is doing in our life. He is stitching people into our life, creating a masterpiece that will continue to be enhanced until our days on this earth are done. Through this 'masterpiece' He is making, I pray that people will come to know Jesus and put their trust in Him.
