Educares... similar to what we call a Daycare here in the States. There are 34 of them that missionaries in Cape Town, SA are endeavoring to help. We found these Crayola rotating utensil caddies. We thought it would be a fun project to fill them up with necessary school/crafting supplies. We will wrap each caddy up in it's own plastic bag. Then they will be boxed and shipped to MI where they will be loaded with lots of other Bibles, curriculum, Christian books, etc. on a container to be shipped into Cape Town, SA. Yes, Cape Town, SA is a most beautiful city. However, just outside the city are tons of people living without electricity and/or running water. The women/families need Educares, a safe place to leave their children while they work during the day to make an income. Beyond being a safe place, they are a place to receive education too. I have personally been to several of these Educares. It was a joy to meet the women who operate them and care for the children. We hope these supplies will be a blessing to them.
