Mom's workplace is a great half way point where I can meet her to pick up donated items that the women's group, Ladies Like Lydia, at her church have collected. So we made it a lunch date.

Sharing time, Employing Gifts

NAS Part of the vision in creating God's Share Program was to link people and their gifts to missionaries with a need. Sometimes it is not about writing a check, swiping a debit card or sending money via Paypal. Sometimes, it is about lending a hand, literally. So while today there are no pictures to share and no boxes of supplies that were shipped, we were still able to extend a helping hand to a missionary family. Thank you to the volunteer who sacrificed his time and lent of his expertise to clear out a backed up drain of silt and sewage due to recent septic issues at a missionary's house. While plumbing doesn't come naturally to this volunteer, he had experience to draw upon - enough to lend a hand, thus saving this missionary tens if not hundreds of dollars in plumbing bills. Haiti Supplies

Twice a year we deliver supplies to a Haiti missionary. We only have to take them to Lakeland. He does the shipping. Did you know it's cheaper to ship some foods to Haiti than to purchase it in country?! We have taken an old storage closet at our place, repaired and painted the walls so that we have a designated space to store up supplies for Haiti. By the way, missionary to Haiti, David (on the right) has an orphanage for boys and girls. Some of those children have special needs. He is Dad to 60+, almost 70 kiddos! One of their daily snacks is peanut butter and jelly. I can't remember how many jars of peanut butter they go through in a month, but it's a lot! If you would like to be a blessing to David Wine and these children you can drop off supplies and we will deliver them when David is back in the States. More Shopping! These bags represent 6 hours of shopping! There were Christmas care package items to purchase for missionaries we have just had the privilege of meeting. We also bought snowstorm relief supplies for missionaries in South Dakota to take to a Reservation. If you notice the book in the bottom picture, well, that was the book I was going to read - ha! I put it back on the shelf. No time to read right now!
