What you can't see in this picture are the bags of 50 personal size battery operated fans that a local Red Hat Society group donated! These fun and cooling gadgets will be warmly welcomed by the folks attending a Special Touch camp coordinated by some of our misisonary friends. Thank you ladies! Because of you campers will be keeping cool on those hot August days!

These are some new friends of God's Share Program! During their VBS (theme: God's Big Backyard) they are learning to serve family, friends, neighbors, community, and Jesus! Since GSP is located in "their backyard", they invited me to come and share with them about the ministry of God's Share Program.
I've been telling them how GSP's family is made up of Missionary families that we serve. I've introduced them to some Missionary friends of mine, and tonight (Wed.) I'll be introducing them to all my neighbors who make GSP what it is today by helping me serve Missionaries, Thursday I'll introduce them to some of the communities served by the Missionaries, and Friday I'll tell them how GSP is my way of serving Jesus and how GSP was planted as a small seed in my heart when I was their age!
My new friends are using their VBS offering money to help with our saxophone/drum project for Missionaries to the Domincan Republic! I am honored to spend time with my new friends in God's Big Backyard!

(Okay you have to have fun with this and sing it to the tune of 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame')
"Send us off to Namibia
Send us off to some fun
Buy us some postage and drop us off
at the Post Office and we'll never come back
'Cause we'll find new friends in Namibia
If we can't get there it's a shame
'Cause it's one, two, hey! ship us out
so we can share about Jesus' name"
One of our most recent projects is making salvation bracelets for a Missionary to use for outreach. Dave and I worked together to cut the jute for the bracelets. I divided out the beads and we have several volunteers making these bracelets at home. I found they are a great project to work on while riding in the car! We can make these bracelets for 6 cents each! Who said a person has to donate big bucks to see another soul ready for Heaven! Want to teach your children to give to missions? Here's a great project to start them on!
Our church has a "Spotlight" table. Each Sunday a ministry within the church or someone within the church who has a ministry is provided the opportunity to "spotlight" their ministry. Sunday, June 22nd we got that opportunity. I had the opportunity to talk to a lot of people and acquaint them with God's Share Program. What fun!
